TREAT.YO.SELF

Hello my foodies, We are baaack for the month of February to send you all some love! :3 *hugs & kisses* Aaaand since we are in the month of love, why not treat your loved ones, yo boo thang or even yourself to something sweet and yummy. I know I know Valentines's Day is over but you shouldn't wait til next year to treat yourself. Yeesss, I got a recipe for you guys today. It's really simple and easy! <3

Chocolate Covered Strawberries!!!!

You will need:

1 pack of Strawberries

2 cups Milk Chocolate morsels/chips

2 cups White Chocolate morsels/chips

1 tablespoon Vegetable Shortening

You can melt chocolate in two methods:  double boiler or microwave.

Double Boiler.

First you will need one big pot to boil the water in. Fill the pot half way with water and heat to high til it's boiling hot.

As you wait for your water to boil, you should get your love potion ready aka chocolate ;3
you will need 2 cups of chocolate chips

you can use a small pot to put the chocolate in  but we thought it would easy and quicker to use an empty pie pan.

We first started off with 1 cup of chocolate chips, buuuut Christina loooves her chocolate soooo we used the whole pack ( 2 cups of CC)  lmao.

So, umm Did I mention that umm We're both not a professional at making food , we just love eating it. So now that's out of there... We messed up a bit. FAILED!!! We used vegetable oil instead of actually Vegetable Shortening...ummm so yeaaah. Just use only  1 tablespoon Vegetable Shortenening or Crisco.

Now that you have your chocolate and shortening in the pan, now were finally going to melt the chocolate by putting the pan on top of the boiling water.

Stir with your spatula til it gets all melted and creamy :D

Now that's how you melt chocolate using the double boiler method! :3

Buuuut If you wanna do it the easy peasy waaaay, Microwave it baby ;3

Microwave.

Just put the chocolate and shortening in a microwavable bowl  for 1 min  and stir til creamy

Now the most exciting part, dipping those strawberries! <3 BUT before you do please rinse yo strawberries you dont want to bite into dirty strawberries with chocolate even thou chocolate will help the dirt taste but No, just wash them.

Awww, Look at those happy strawberries, Now Dip Baby Dip!

Using a fork or spoon will help you alot while dipping. Try not to get the leaves covered with chocolate lmao.

Remember they dont have to be perfect, it's not really about the look , it's about the taste ;)
And just have fun dipping!

I used a regular sandwich bag , put the chocolate in one corner snip the tip and start making design which come out...
...Interesting. lmao

Over all it taste delicious! :3 annnnd lowkey taste like peanut butter... LMAO! I told ya'll we ain't professionals but... ( just don't use oil at all people, just nope)

I hope you guys all enjoyed this yummy recipe. Don't be sad on Valentines or be sad period if you have dont a significant other because what really matters is you loving you. So regardless if you're single , taken, cat lady, dog man, or fitness/health freak. you all deserve some chocolate covered strawberries!!! Treat yo self babes! <3

Love you all,

Tia & Christinaaaaa! <3333
