Quick Review on ROC Kitchen & SUPER DUPER BIG NEWWWSSS

Hey Loves, I'm quite in a rush to do this restaurant review because There so many huge things happening this upcoming week that I forgot my entry for August. :/ And plus I have huge news for you to hear! Stay to the end of this review to see what's new with your favorite girlies! Tia& Christina!

So Last Sunday Christina and I was craving some Taiwanese/Chinese food, So we decided to go try this restaurant called ROC Kitchen. I  saw a lot of yelp reviews and A lot of people we're talking about how delicious this place was and plus I never tried soup dumplings before so I wanted to know what's the big buzz about this place.

This place was located on Sawtelle in West LA and there so many restaurants and so many people!  Just Busy bodies everywhere, everything was walking distance and It was full of the Japanese and Chinese Culture, I loved it! Hahaha Felt like I was at home! ( I'm Buddhist so I always see a lot Asian Culture in SGI.) The GPS told us that we arrived at the restaurant but when we looked out we didn't see any sign of the restaurant. So we parked a bit farther and walked down to see where was this awesome restaurant that everyone was going crazy about.

We found it!!!  It was between the restaurants Sushi Rocks and Lemonade, At first I thought they should get a sign to at least tell their customers where they're at but I thought it was also was genius because when you look at the restaurant and see how busy it was and every one waiting outside for this place and it makes you curious, you just wanna come in and get something to eat  regardless of the sign being out side or not.

We we waited for 20 mins to get seated because it was very busy! I guess this place must be really good! :D

You already know,  I live for selfies! So I had to take some before going in. It was this adorable baby outside and she was the cutest little thing everrrr I wish I could take a picture of her but yeah Christina and I exchanged smiles for 20min with the cute lil nugget til finally they called us in!!!!

Hahaha!

Couldn't take a bunch picture of this place because how crowded it was but It's very simple,  a nice big restaurant. Not too fancy or shabby. :)
I looove these lamps! Super cute and I want 20 of them in my room to go please! lmao  xD
I haven't had Ginger Ale in awhile so it was really refreshing! #CandaDry4Life lol

Patiently waiting for foooooodies!!!
We started off with Chicken Noodle Soup!
I had White Rice!
Christina had Brown Rice!

Tia: I really enjoyed this Chicken Noodle soup. I loved how thick and homemade the noodles were. It wasn't blasting with flavor which didn't really bother me. It was a basic Chicken Noodle Soup and I was hungry so No complaints here.

Christina: The chicken noodle soup... Surprisingly different from the rest of the meal it was quite bland. Looking back on it, the soup wasn't bad it was just not on par with everything else that we had. So it left me a little disappointed.

Next, was the Popcorn Chicken!!! <3

Tia: Out of everything I ate that night I would have to say the Popcorn chicken was the best!  I love it so much! Perfectly fried, nice crunch, the chicken was full of flavor and super juicy! The dipping sauce was to die for!!!! Love Love Love it! I would just come here again for just this!!!

Christina: The popcorn chicken was very nicely seasoned and slightly tender. If you're going for small though, this wasn't the traditional popcorn chicken, however it was delicious all the same.

So The Soup Dumplings....
ummmm
soooooo

Tia: I was so excited because I never tried soup dumplings and I thought it was going to be delicious...but I can't lie I just wasn't a huge fan about these. We ordered the 8 chicken dumpling and 8 pork dumplings. I would have to choose the chicken was waaaaay better. It had more flavor and it was good. You got be very careful eating these because they are like hot soup in lil dough balls so bite into them first then suck all the juices and then eat them.
The Pork one was just bleeeh no flavor at all, just try like hot water with bland dough. Just No, I  wouldn't get it again.

Christina: The soup dumpling was delicious albeit a bit unusual. It was much like a traditional dumpling but with broth on the inside.

I literally had to cover the whole soup dumpling in soy sauce to have some flavor in it, smh.
  umm yumm! lol

Tia's OverAll: For Me, I like the Chicken Noodle Soup and Popcorn Chicken! I didn't like the soup dumplings but I'm not going to let ruin my whole experience in the restaurant. The waiters was always there for us and made sure if we were satisfied and needed anything else which was great. There are so many other options to choose from that I might like even more. SO I'll give this place 3.5 stars! <3

Christina's OverAll: My overall rating was that it was tasty, but it didn't really stick with me. The thing though that's a must get from the roc are those soup dumplings. Those are to die for.
