We're off and ready to go eat! <3
Christina looking gorgeous as always! <3
These are sweet dinner rolls that I'm talking about! Soooo good! <3
They have a bakery full of yummy pies, pastries cakes and of course donuts yummm! <3
I love pineapples and this the biggest one I ever encountred so I had to take a picture! lol
So we got seated right away after looking at the bakery and it's such a big family restaurant!
Looking thru the menu to see what we like to get is always hard lol
So many great things to choose from.
Everything was very tropical and Hawaiian influnced, hence the name of the Restaurant.
"King's Hawaiian"
Then this happened...
*mouth waters*
While enjoying our bread, we kept looking thru the menu to get appetizers and we were recommended by Cecelia ( Christina's wonderful mom) to try out their nachos! But we decided we either go big or go home, we decided to try out the whole sampler platter that comes with nachos too!:3
Aaaand Holy Moly I'm happy we did because look at this... O.O
OMG! <333 The MotherLoad!
I couldn't get over how gorgeous it was. I didn't want to even touch it look like a masterpiece. buuuuut we chowed down anyways! lmao
T: We, first tried out the Maui Ahi Poke, which contain raw fish....I'm not usually a fan of raw fish but I gave it try and it wasn't bad at all. It was really good. So much flavor ,it was very pleasant. I liked it alot.
C: The flavored of the Mahi mahi was light yet flavorful with just the perfect amount of spice and salt.
T: Then we tried the nachos that Cecelia was raving about it and now I understand why she was telling us to get this! It was sooo good! A perfect amount of everything cheese, pork, black beans, and sour cream in each bite and it was phenomenal!!!
C: The nachos are my personal favorite.
T: The onion ring was fried with perfection. So yummy! I dip it in BBQ sauce which made it even better.
C: And the onion rings are huge and beautiful.
The Portguese Sausauge was super yummy.
T: Last but not least the sushi "Spam Mushiba" was really good, especially dipped in Teriyaki sauce.
C: The spam Masubi I recomend to anybody who eats meat.
I was basically half way full by this point but I really wanted to their entrees so... I ordered:
Tia: The Teriyaki Chicken! <3333
Christina: I ordered the Chicken Katsu! <3333
As we waited, I drank my Fruit Punch drink..
Would I get it again...???
Nah. It was too sugary and I can feel body saying to me "oh tia noooo". lol that's the only complain I have about this place because everything else was just bomb.com
Now when our dinners arrived I was in love...
T: It's soooo huge...like this picture doesn't even show, how enormous this is omg! It smelled so good and taste so delicious! I love that they gave me sooooo much chicken and perfect amount of rice. The chicken was moist, has that yummy grilled taste to it and full of teriyaki sauce. Also got some veggies under the chicken which really great too. Always eat your veggies! <3
My dinner was the chicken katsu which is my favorite (although I recommend everything on the menu I have haven't had a bad thing yet I've come to the conclusion it's impossible).
C: The Kings Hawaiian iced tea *drools*
It was sooo good! We loved everything even thou we were so full. We had to get some dessert! <3
Christina ordered the gorgeous Fruit Tart. <3
I ordered the Hawaiian Paradise Cake!
We kept on switching desserts because they were both so delicious! <3
T: The Fruit Tart was perfection, the pastry was flaky soft with a nice sweet cream in the middle and the berries were amazing and tart. The 3 layer cake had three different flavors Passion Fruit, Guava and Lime. Which is a fantastic blend of flavors together wrap up with whip cream frosting. Just Brilliant <3333
C: I ordered the one serving fruit tart. It was delectable. Tia ordered the passion cake. I'll admit we ended up trading towards the end of it. I didn't realize I was craving cake that day until I saw it.
I want to give huge shout out to our waitress Tanisha! <3 When we went here when she was only on her 2nd day on the job and she did amazing. Christina and I was suprised it was only her 2nd day, she was very helpful and so sweet!
Always tip your waiters, they work really hard and they deserve the tip especially if you have a nice vibe with them. Thank you again Tanisha fir wonderful experience!!!! <3
We went to the King's Hawaiian on Sepulveda Blvd! <333
